Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the life and to lessen a danger of cracking even when a local load is large by an armoring which is simple in terms of a manufacturing technique, is hardly wearable and has withdrawability.
CONSTITUTION: The wear resistant surface armoring for rollers has many moldings which are mounted apart certain intervals with each other on the roller surface and project outward. Compressed fine grained material is packed into the nips or pockets 15 between these moldings 13 and 14 during the operation of the roller press. The fine grained material stays in the nips or pockets as a friction protective member during the rotation of the rollers.
