Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport roller having attrition resistance and wear resistance for transporting a web in a wearing corrosive manufacture environment. SOLUTION: A transport roller 20 has a core 22 and a first connection layer 24 partially wrapping at least the core 22 to be connected thereto. Further, the roller 20, partially wrapping the first connection layer 24, has a first layer 26 of anticorrosive substance connected to the first connection layer 24, here a first anticorrosive substance is electroplated nickel or electroless nickel. A second connection layer 28 for connecting a second layer 30 to the core 22 is provided. The second layer 30 is formed by a substance having attrition resistance and wear resistance, here the substance having attrition resistance and wear resistance is selected from polyurethane, acrylic, silicon dioxide, alumina, chrome oxide, zirconium oxide, zirconia-alumina compound or a group formed by these mixtures.
