Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the present weaving process so designed that twisted fine synthetic filament yarns with thick single fiber is coated with an antistatic agent and used as weft yarns to impart both said weft warns and jet water with affinity to enhance electrical conductivity of said yarns, thereby carrying out weaving with stabilized weft yarn incorporation into the title twisted yarn fabric.

CONSTITUTION: Synthetic fiber filament yarns with a fineness of ≤45de, single fiber fineness of ≥4de and twist index K being such as 0.2×104≤K≤1.5×104 is coated with 0.2W3.0wt.% of an antistatic agent and used as the weft yarns. These yarns are then put to a water jet loom to obtain the objective twisted yarn fabric. The resulting improvement of the weft yarns in their electrical conductivity enables weft yarn-detecting function to be stably actuated at all times, loom operation-stopping frequencies to be reduced and said weaving to be performed in high operating efficiency.
