Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a large amount of dust from being produced by putting a cutting blade on the flat surface of a web and detecting an optimum cutting direction automatically in a cutting condition.
CONSTITUTION: A slide 13 is provided with a rotary type cutting blade 10 and mounted on a swing shaft 11 in parallel with a web W and rotatably in the direction relative to the advancing direction P of the web, and the swing shaft 11 is positioned so that it extends in the direction at right angle to a web flat surface W. Then the cutting blade 10 is rotated so that it automatically detects the optimum angle C according to the movements of the web and the slide crossing a machine.
