Abstract:

To provide a web detection system of a printer which can detect the short of paper quickly.

The web detection system of the printer comprises a printing unit 2 for printing a web W to be conveyed, a drying machine 3 prepared downstream of a web conveyance of the printing unit 2 to dry the printed web W, a chill roller 11 with which the dried web W is twisted, and prepared downstream of the web conveyance of the drying machine 3 and with which the dried web W is twisted, and a detection device 7 prepared near the chill roller 11 for detecting that the position of the space cross direction of the cut web W (w2) is deviated from a predetermined tolerance.
