Abstract:
The apparatus comprises stock supply means 11, at least one endless belt 34 having a predetermined tension to carry a continuous web thereon, slice means 12 connected to said supply means 11 and having an extended lip 30 to receive said stock in outflowing relation therepast and belt guide means 32 to guide the belt 34 in operation past the extended lip 30 in engaging relation with the stock, to form a non-rigid convergent stock receiving zone.
