PURPOSE: To provide a web guide roller devised to improve abrasion resistance to transport a metallic web.

CONSTITUTION: A web guide roller is to transport a metallic web of a PS print and others, and it consists of a roller main body 10 and a lining layer 13 applied on the outer peripheral surface of this roller main body 10. The lining layer 13 has a tapered shape with the outer peripheral surface the central part of which is the maximum diameter (a). In order to improve abrasion resistance while securing flatness of the metallic web, a projection amount (a-b) of the central part of this tapered shape is to be more than 1.0% and less than 1.0% against the minimum diameter (b) of both edge parts in the shaft 12 direction.
