Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web joining device allowing a compact size of the whole of a device and an easy supply operation of a web roll web.
SOLUTION: This web joining device for joining a starting end part of a web 3B in a second roll 2B to a terminal end part of a web 3A delivered from a first roll 2A is provided with a roll support shaft 4 for journaling the rolls 2A and 2B, a roll rotation receiving shaft 5 for receiving the rolls 2A and 2B from the support shaft 4 and a winding rotating body (belt) 7 for performing auxiliary driving of the delivery of the web 3A. The support shaft 4 is made to stand by in a state of the second roll 2B inserted again after the roll 2A is received and delivered from/to the receiving shaft 5. In the belt 7, the driving surface of the roll 2A is made to abut on an outer peripheral surface of the roll 2A. While the terminal end part of the web 3A is guided on the driving surface, the terminal end part of the web 3A is moved toward the second roll 2B, and the terminal end part of the web 3A is overlapped and joined with the starting end part of the web 3B.
