Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web support device capable of preventing the occurrence of web buckling, pressed flaw, etc.
SOLUTION: This web support device, which supports a web in a process to produce a welded wide flange shape steel and welds a flange material 1 and a web material 2, is provided with a pair of end part guide rolls 3 to support the periphery of an end part of the web material and a center guide roll 4 to support the vicinity of a center part of the web. A ruggedness is arranged to a barrel part of the center guide roll in a circumferential direction, a barrel length (X; mm) of the end part guide roll, a total width (Y; mm) of a projecting part surface of the center guide roll and a width (H; mm) of the web material satisfy the relation of the formula, 0.4≤2X+Y≤0.7H.
