PURPOSE: To restore the axis of an unlocked webbing take-up spool to a specified position by making the movement of the locked spool to an eccentric position possible.

CONSTITUTION: An aligning means comprising a shaft projection 62 and a recessedly curved face 60 is arranged between the shaft bar section 40 of a spool 38 and the bearing section 58 of a cover member 56, and the shaft projection 62 is made to slip down in the deepest portion of the curved face 60 due to the energizing force of the elastic deformation of the cover member 56. As a result, the spool 38 is set in a specified axial position and the shaft projection 62 is slidingly moved around the curved face 60 so that the spool 38 is eccentrically moved.
