Title:
WEFT DETECTING APPARATUS FOR WEAVING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3165386
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a yarn by enlarging difference in incident ray volume to both light sensors when no weft exists in a detection zone.
SOLUTION: This reflection type weft detecting apparatus in a weaving machine comprises two screens 12 and 14 different in light reflectance adjacently arranged in the weft inserting direction, a projector 16 for irradiating the screens 12 and 14 with light rays and light sensors 18 and 20 corresponding to the screens 12 and 14 and receiving reflected light from the corresponding screens 12 and 14. In the apparatus, a light screening belt 36 for forming a shadow part 40 in the vicinity of a boundary 24 of both the screens is installed on the projector 16 so that the incident ray volume from the noncorresponding screens 12 and 14 to the light sensors 18 and 20 is reduced as much as possible.
