Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To broaden a region where a flying weft yarn can be detected by a light emitting/receiving weft yarn sensor going in and out of the opening of warp yarns toward a main nozzle side as compared with a prior art.SOLUTION: A weft yarn detection device is used in a jet loom in which a weft yarn Y is inserted by injection of a fluid, and the inserted weft yarn Y is beaten by dents 15 on a sley 14. The weft yarn detection device includes at least one light emitting/receiving weft yarn sensor 20 which faces a flying passage (a passage 16 in a reed) of the weft yarn Y within a weaving width and is arranged in such a state that an upper warp yarn and a lower warp yarn are located outside a detection area. Both of the light emitting range and the light receiving range of the weft yarn sensor 20 are set inside a warp yarn opening at a loom angle when the front end of the weft yarn Y reaches the arrangement position of the weft yarn sensor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
