Title:
WEFT DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3438802
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize weft inserting by forming the counter wall face of thread guide grooves in a curved form capable of reducing reaction of air jet to suppress projection of wefts by reaction to air jet from a subnozzle by means of a weft detector having approximately the same shape as a dent for detecting condition of weft inserting on the weft arrival side by photoelectric type of detection.
SOLUTION: This stabilization of weft inserting comprises locating a weft detector having approximately the same shape as a dent in a space between dent rows, and forming the counter wall face of thread guide grooves in a curved shape capable of suppressing reaction to air fed from a subnozzle in such a way that the air jet (shown with an arrow) from the subnozzle runs on to the counter wall face 33 and flows along the curved wall face, and then flows along the counter wall face 11 of the reed groove by the Coanda effect after the jet leaves the end point of the curved face, whereby the weft runs normally through the thread guide groove.
