PURPOSE: To provide a weft feeder equipped with a means for automatically or semi-automatically restoring the continuity of weft yarn from a spool to a loom.

CONSTITUTION: The means for restoring the continuity of the weft yarn consists of three compressed air devices acting on the yarn. The first device 20 is positioned at an inlet of the weft feeder 2 to withdraw broken yarn therefrom and introduce new yarn fed by the spool 1 or a reel therein. The second device 30 is positioned adjacently to a weft feeder drum 3 to receive the new yarn fed by the first device and by a winding arm 6 to send it to a fixed point. The third device consists of at least one suction nozzle 15 mounted, on the downstream of a braking means 14, at the end of a weft feeder bracket 2A positioned alongside the drum. A bracket positioned alongside the drum is installed on a weft feeder body, which houses a motor so as to be separated together with the braking means from the end of the drum.
