Title:
WEFT-HOLDING AND TENSING DEVICE IN FLUID JET LOOM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP10046445
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a weft-holding and tensing device in a fluid jet loom, capable of uniformly, surely and positively imparting a tension to a weft over the whole parts of the weft in the weaving direction, when the tension is imparted to the weft in a period ranging from the finish of the weaving to a weft restrain-starting time by closing the warps on the weft-arriving side of the fluid jet loom.

A pair of holding rollers 7, 9 where at least one of the rollers is rotated are arranged on a weft-flying road, and a distance-setting mechanism for changing a distance between the circumferential surfaces of both the holding rollers is disposed. The distance-setting mechanism sets the distance between both the holding rollers so that the weft can pass between the rollers at a timing for allowing the weft to pass between both the holding rollers and so that a holding force acts on the weft in a period ranging from the finish of the weaving to a weft restraint-starting time by closing the warps.
