The weft inserting apparatus comprises the weft inserting auxiliary nozzles 12-15 connected through the flexible tube 28 and a solenoid opening and closing valve 19 to an air tank 17. A valve housing 25 composing a valve part 24 of the solenoid opening and closing valve 19 serves also as a distributor. The front surface of the valve housing 25 is provided with distribution ports 253-256. The orienting directions L1 and L2 of the distributing ports 253 and 254 face to the upper and right side of the loom. The orienting directions R1 and R2 of the distributing ports 255 and 256 face to the upper and left side of the loom.
