To provide a rapier wheel having necessary rigidity and a lower moment of inertia.
A rapier wheel 13 comprises a ring-shaped stationary body 19, a ring-shaped lighting core body 20 which is linked and fixed to the outer peripheral face of the stationary body 19, a pair of reinforcing plates 21 and 22 sandwiching the lighting core body 20, a ring-shaped teeth row constitutent body 23 which is engaged with the outer peripheral face of the lighting core body 20 and fixed and a pair of ring-shaped reinforcing parts 24 and 25. The teeth row constitutent body 23 is composed of a ring-shaped teeth base 26 and power transmission teeth 15 integrally arranged on the outer periphery of the teeth base 26. The reinforcing parts 24 and 25 are attached so as to be immovable to the side of a reinforcing protrusion 262 integrally formed on an inner peripheral face 261 of the teeth base 26. The reinforcing plates 21 and 22 are attached so as to be immovable to sides of a connected protrusion 191, the lighting core body 20 and the reinforcing parts 24 and 26 with an adhesive.
