Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft tensioner affording effective tension application effect.
SOLUTION: The introductory end 171 of a weft trapping pipe 17 and a stretch nozzle 16 are faced to each other. Jet air from the stretch nozzle 16 is spouted toward the introductory end 171, which is projected from above a weft introductory recess 151 thereinto and formed by notching a cylinder tip. The upper side as part of the cross section of the recess 151 is shielded by the introductory end 171. The tip of a weft Y which reached the recess 151 is blown into the weft trapping pipe 17 by the aid of air flow from the stretch nozzle 16.
