To provide a weight checker for measuring a weight while an article is carried, suppressing a degradation in a measurement capability due to a change in a length of the to-be-measured article, and ensuring the measurement accuracy, and a carrying apparatus with it.

The weight checker includes: an article carrying plane expanding/contracting means for relatively displacing a carrying roller in the approach direction or the separation direction, and expanding or contracting an article carrying plane; a tension applying roller provided so as to be separated from the carrying roller, and applying a tension to a carrying belt; and a belt tension adjusting means for displacing the tension applying roller, and absorbing an excess and a deficiency in a length of the carrying belt due to an expansion and a contraction of the article carrying plane. The article carrying plane can be expanded or contracted in response to the length of the to-be-measured article.
