To provide a weight for curtains which weighs unquestionably enough for practical use, is corrosion-resistant, does not react to magnetism and can be incinerated.
A body of a weight for curtains which is attached on the inside of a folded part of a vertical side 1a and a bottom side 1b of a curtain hem to give flare to the curtain, is formed of a nonmetallic member such as resin. Preferably, the weight body is formed of two or more resin plate members 3A, 3B, and the resin plate members 3A, 3B are mutually connected with a flexible connecting member 7, a plate member is contained in a common folded part 1c of the vertical side 1a and the bottom side 1b of the curtain hem and the other resin plate member is contained in the folded part of the bottom side 1b or the vertical side 1a.
