PURPOSE: To enable a series of weight grading actions such as ranking in accordance with the weight of articles and discharging of the articles by rank merely by gathering articles such as scallop collectively and dumping them into a single hopper all at once.

CONSTITUTION: A feeder device 16 which scatters numerous articles discharged from a hopper 5 and scaling machines 9 which measure the scattered articles simultaneously and outputs signals for ranking according to obtained weight values are arranged below the hopper 5 in which articles are dumped. In addition, a transport device 12 with arranged buckets 22 which receives and transports the articles discharged from the scaling machines 9, is provided below each scaling machine 9. Further, the buckets 22 are driven at gate positions P1 to P6 which correspond to the ranks in accordance with a signal for ranking which is output from the scaling machines 9, and the articles are discharged to an outside area at the specified gate positions P1 to P6.
