The weight member 100 for the curtain attached to the inside of the hem part of the curtain includes a rod wire material 110 disposed according to the hanging direction of the curtain and a fiber material 130 heat-sealed covering the rod wire material 110 and surrounding the periphery of the rod wire material. The rod wire material 110 is a zinc line having a specific gravity of 7.14, made of zinc having a purity of not less than 98.5%, which has a line diameter in the cross-sectional direction of 1.3-3.0 mm, and has an approach path part 111 extending according to the hanging direction X of the curtain and a return path part 112 extending according to the hanging direction X of the curtain. The respective distal end parts 113 and 114 in the same direction of the approach path part 111 and return path part 112 of the rod wire material 110 are provided with a U-shaped part 115 in a structure bent in a U-shape, and the respective end parts 116 and 117 in the opposite direction of the approach path part 111 and return path part 112 of the rod wire material 110 are free end parts.
