This weight sensor is equipped with: the linear-slide variable resistor 13 including an axially movable operation shaft, an insulating substrate with a conductive pattern, a slider slid on the conductive pattern, a slider support slide-movable in keeping with axial movement of the operation shaft while holding the slider, and a spring for return causing the slider support to return to its initial position; and an auxiliary spring 12 disposed in parallel with the spring for supporting the measured object (wash tub 20). This weight sensor is characterized in that the operation shaft is moved according to the displacement amount of the auxiliary spring 12.
