Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld monitoring device by ultrasonic wave that can measure the depth distribution of molten pools with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The weld monitoring device of the present invention is the weld monitoring device for monitoring welded parts in a specimen using an ultrasonic wave, and includes an ultrasonic transceiver that receives reflected wave signals of an ultrasonic wave from the specimen, a propagation time measuring unit that measures from the received reflected ultrasonic wave the propagation time of the ultrasonic wave within the specimen, and a molten pool depth measuring unit that figures out the depth of the molten pool by comparing two ultrasonic wave propagation time lengths measured by the propagation time measuring unit with each other or comparing one ultrasonic wave propagation time length measured by the propagation time measuring unit with a reference propagation time length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
