Abstract:

To provide a unitized welded reinforcement applicable to a building foundation composed of a high strength material, at a further reduced cost.

Examples of a welded reinforcement unit for foundation include a reinforcement unit embedded in the foundation concrete of a structure as shear reinforcement, which is composed of a plurality of vertical reinforcements in accordance with a same standard selected from JIS SD295A to SD490 and horizontal reinforcements which in accordance with the same standard for the vertical reinforcements and are arranged orthogonal to the vertical reinforcements so as to connect the vertical reinforcements to each other by electrical resistance spot welding. The electrical resistance spot welding is performed under the following conditions for the wire diameter in accordance with JIS D10: (1) a welding pressure of 500 N to 800 N by an electrode for the electrical resistance spot welding at the weld zone where the vertical reinforcement and the horizontal reinforcement are crossed, (2) an electrode current value of 0.8 kA to 12.6 kA, (3) a current-carrying time of 40 to 48 cycles per second, and (4) a weld height of 11.1 mm to 16.3 mm after welding at the weld zone.
