To provide a welded structure of cylindrical members, which reduces the weight of parts and saves material costs by reducing the plate thicknesses of cylindrical members with an increase or with no decrease in the strength of the weld joint when welding the cylindrical members to each other.
When mutually butt-welding cylindrical members 11, 11' having comparatively thick-wall, the welded structure of the cylindrical members is made by butt-welding the members in the following state: butt end faces 11a, 11'a of the members are inwardly bent to form flanges 11b, 11'b; an adhesion part 12, where the flanges are adhered to each other, is provided at the front ends of the members; and the adhesion part 12 is long enough to prevent the outflow of molten metal. By this structure, the plate thicknesses of the cylindrical members are reduced with an increase or with no decrease in the strength of the weld joint when welding the members, so that the weight of parts is reduced and the material costs are saved.
