To provide a welding apparatus and a welding method capable of easily and safely performing welding even by an unskilled engineer.
The welding apparatus includes a pair of conductive fiber blocks 21, 22 disposed so as to face each other without mutually contact, and a high frequency wave irradiation part 11 for irradiating the pair of conductive fiber blocks 21, 22 with high frequency waves. When the pair of conductive fiber blocks 21, 22 is irradiated with high frequency waves, heat is generated to weld objects 31, 32 to be welded disposed between the pair of conductive fiber blocks 21, 22. The objects 31, 32 to be welded are disposed while being interposed between the conductive fiber blocks 21, 22, accordingly, even the unskilled engineer can easily and safely perform welding. In addition, various components can be welded inexpensively without preparing a control device for a small quantity wide variety production.
