The binding head 12 includes a body 24, and an anvil 26 which is attached to the body and movable. A sealing member 54 for excitation motion is arranged in the anvil. A driving apparatus is connected to the sealing member 54 so as to be operable in order to provide the excitation motion to the sealing member. A first passage binding material and a second passage binding material are located on the top and the bottom, respectively, in the vicinity of the sealing member 54. Then, the vibration of the sealing member 54 is applied to the sealing between the first passage binding material and the second passage binding material.
