Abstract:
To provide a strapping head for a strapping machine of the type having a feed assembly and a chute.
The strapping head (10) includes a body (24) and an anvil (14) mounted on and movable relative to the body. A sealing member (12) for oscillating movement is disposed in the anvil. A drive is operably connected to the sealing member to provide the oscillating movement to the sealing member. A first passing strapping material and a second passing strapping material overlie each other in the vicinity of the sealing member, and oscillation of the sealing member effects a seal of the first and second passing strapping materials with each other.
