Title:
WELDING METHOD OF HIGH MELTING POINT METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5564978
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To fine the crystal grains of deposited metal and improve its strength and toughness by adding one or more kinds of the carbides, nitrides and carbo-nitrides of the specific metals to the molten metal formed to base metal groove.

CONSTITUTION: One or more kinds of the carbides, nitrides and carbo-nitrides of Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Cr, W of large free energy to base metals are contained at 0.1W 50wt% into the molten metal formed at the groove of the high melting point base metals such as Mo material or the like of melting point 1700°C or more. Those of powder form are used for these addition metal compounds and are suitably used as insert materials or the like by being molded to plate form or the like. This method yields the deposited metal of fine crystal grains and provides the welded joint of high strength and toughness.
