To provide a welding method capable of welding a metallic glass to a crystalline metal at low cost in a short time in place of electron beams or explosive joining which requires high energy.
A metallic glass and a crystalline metal to be welded to each other are held to each fore end of a conduction holder with its fore end being opposite to each other. The respective welding fore ends of the held metallic glass and crystalline metal are projected with the projecting length of 0.1-2.0 mm from the fore ends opposite to each other of the conduction holder. A large current is allowed to run instantaneously between the welding fore ends of the metallic glass and the crystalline metal, and the metallic glass is welded to the crystalline metal by the pulse conduction using the temperature rise by the joule heat generation while adjusting the applied voltage according to the projecting length.
