Abstract:

To provide a welding method which obtains excellent stress corrosion crack resistance andis applicable to a nuclear power generation plant structural material (particularly, austenitic stainless steels or nickel based alloys as nuclear power generation plant structural materials).

In the welding method for metallic members as nuclear power generation plant structural materials, nuclear reactor structural materials are welded in such a manner that the columnar crystal or dendrite direction in the weld zone is made ununiform. According to this invention, regarding to a nuclear power generation plant welded structure, the welding method for a nuclear power generation plant structure having excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance can be provided for the further improvement of the safety in a nuclear power generation plant in such a manner that cracks are hardly caused and progressed by making the columnar crystal or dendrite direction in the weld zone ununiform.
