Abstract:
To provide a welding method of a steel-pipe pile capable of realizing a suitable welding part by securing a uniform route interval more than usual, when butt-welding a vertically arranged steel-pipe pile via a backing ring.SOLUTION: In a method for butt-welding vertically arranged steel-pipe piles 15 and 16 via a backing ring 10 having a route interval holding projection 12 on an outer peripheral surface, the backing ring 10 is installed in an upper end part of a lower side steel-pipe pile 16 by determining a clearance L(mm) between an outer peripheral surface of the backing ring 10 and an inner peripheral surface of the lower side steel-pipe pile 16, a circle equivalent diameter d(mm) of the projection 12, the number n (pieces) of projection 12 and a thickness t(mm) of the backing ring 10 in a range of 84≤d×t×n/L.
