Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of spatters in welding by laser beam irradiation to an abutting surface of a ring gear and a flange of a plate.SOLUTION: Chamfering 10 is performed on a flange 7 of a plate 6 so as to form a bevel 11 opened on an end surface 9 of the flange by an outer peripheral surface 3 of a ring gear 2 and the chamfering 10 of the flange 7, and an irradiation angle α of a laser beam L is inclined to the outer peripheral surface 3 so as to make a spot diameter d of the laser beam L in opening of the bevel 11 smaller than an open width h. Spatters from a flange end surface are prevented by setting a distance p of a central position of the spot diameter d from the outer peripheral surface 3 of the ring gear so as to satisfy pd/2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
