Abstract:
To provide a welding operation monitoring system and welding operation monitoring method which allow for analysis of a plasma position by reducing influence of a weld zone in color image obtained by an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A welding operation monitoring system 1 images weld zone ER and leak plasma through a wavelength cut filter 5 by a side imaging apparatus 3b generating color images based on a red signal, green signal and blue signal. A welding operation monitoring device 4 extracts a blue component from the obtained color image and generates a blue component image, and thus can calculate a plasma position in a pipe-making direction X based on the blue component image. Consequently, the welding operation monitoring system 1 can reduce influence of the weld zone ER in the color image obtained in the side imaging apparatus 3b and can analyze the plasma position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
