Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the welding quality monitoring device of resistance welding capable of controlling the welding quality and maintenance with high versatility for the welding condition change and also with satisfactory discriminating accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature distribution of materials 4 to be welded and the estimation nugget diameter are calculated by a thermal conduction model by using the voltage between tips detected by an insulating amplifier 6 and a welding current detected by a troidal coil 5 and an integrator 7, satisfactory accuracy is also obtained for the welding condition change such as crushing of the tips generated in the welding process, welding experiment is carried out at a welding field for every material to be welded like the welding quality monitoring device and it is not necessary to obtain the relation between the welding quality and the discrimination reference in advance. Further, the estimation nugget diameter is compared with the necessary reference nugget diameter inputted in advance from a key panel 18, the determination of the quality of a welded result and the maintenance time are made possible via an output means of an output circuit 16, an LCD display device 20, etc., and the welding quality can be monitored effectively.
