PURPOSE: To stably feed the wire and to obtain stable welding arc, by making the outer diameter of the flexible wire guide tube smaller than the inner diameter of the central tube by a specific percentage, and the inner diameter of the guide tube larger than the diameter of the wire by a specific percentage.
CONSTITUTION: A torch cable is composed of a flexible wire guide tube 3 which introduces a consumable electrode wire 1 to the main body of a torch, a central tube 9 on and from which the flexible wire guide tube 3 can be fitted and removed, and a conduit cable which introduces the welding current. The outer diameter of this flexible wire guide tube 3 is made smaller than the inner diameter of the central tube 9 by 1W10%. Moreover, the inner diameter of the flexible wire guide tube 3 is made larger than the diameter of the consumable electrode wire 1 by 5W40%. In this way, a stable wire feeding is realized.
