Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality and a long life pump, in a Wesco type electric well pump having a possibility of sucking up foreign substances such as sand and the like.SOLUTION: A Wesco type pump includes: an electric motor 1; an impeller 2; a casing 3 provided around the impeller 2; and a casing cover 11 fitted to the casing 3 so as to cover the entire surface of the impeller 2. The casing 3 includes: a swirl chamber 4 around the impeller 2; a suction port side water passage 5 including a suction port 7 for communicating with the swirl chamber 4; and a discharge side water passage including a discharge port 8. A filter 13 having a plurality of holes 12 is provided in the suction port side water passage 5. Thus, the electric pump having very few failure cases and a long service life can be provided in which foreign substances are removed by the filter 13 and which prevents damage in the swirl chamber 4 by the foreign substances.
