Abstract:
To provide a western-style toilet device and a toilet seat device capable of preventing blockage by swiftly detecting the state that a pooled water is contaminated with foreign matters.SOLUTION: A western-style toilet device 1 includes: a bowl 44 for receiving excrement; a toilet seat 43; a seat sensor 23; a human sensor 22; one or more optical sensors 21; and a contamination detection unit 11 that determines a foreign matter E having entered bowl 44. The optical sensor 21 is configured to pick up an image of objects falling into the bowl 44. The contamination detection unit 11 is configured to: when the human sensor 22 has detected a person and the seat sensor 23 has not detected a sitting position, determine whether or not the falling object is the foreign matter E based on the image captured by the optical sensor 21; and when the foreign matter E is determined, notify of the presence of the foreign matter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
