Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent developer from being locally solidified at one part of the peripheral surface of a squeezing roller and to prevent the image quality of a firs plate master sheet at the time of restarting operation from being deteriorated by the adverse influence of the solidified developer adhering to the peripheral surface of the squeezing roller.
SOLUTION: In this wet developing device for a plate making machine, an electrostatic latent image on the master sheet X is developed while passing through a developing pallet 11, and the excess developer adhering to the master sheet X is squeezed by the rolling motion of an upper squeezing roller 47A and a lower squeezing roller 47B positioned on an exit side. At the time of post-processing after making a plate, the developer from a jetting pipe 21 is stopped, an upper blade 49 is separated from the roller 47A, and the roller 47A is driven and rotated by a developing fixing part motor, so that the peripheral surface of the roller 47A is dried. At the time of warming-up, the solidified developer on the peripheral surface of the rotated roller 47A is dissolved and removed by the developer from the jetting pipe 21 and the table 49.
