Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet friction plate at which a friction material is adhered on its surface for stably transmitting torque by a piston of a torque converter.SOLUTION: Friction material segments 10a, 10b are divided into small sizes, form a plurality of rows on different radii, and are arranged in the circumferential direction. The friction material segments 10a, 10b on each circle are displaced in the circumferential direction with respect to each other, a narrow oil groove 15 is formed between the adjacent friction material segments, and small salient pieces 13, 14a and 14a are formed at both side edges of each friction material segment.
