Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve drying ability and to smoothly pass paper by arranging a drying means on a looped wet paper traveling path formed at a dry part and introducing and traveling the wet paper by rope run.
CONSTITUTION: Paper rolls 27-31 are arranged above a dryer cylinder 12 at the end of a first group of a dry part of paper machine and a looped traveling path LW of wet paper WP is formed. The same number of dryers 32a, 32b to 36a and 36b of dryers are installed at the outside and inside of vertically traveling part of the looped travel path. A ring 41 for a carrier rope is laid on the outer periphery of the side end of a dryer cylinder 11 and carrier ropes 51 and 52 are traveled from a paper catch part IN composed of pulleys 42a and 43a through the cylinder 11 and a pulley attached to the front end of paper rolls 27-31 to a paper release part OUT of the cylinder 12 to pass paper.
