Abstract:
To provide a wet type friction plate effectively lubricating a friction engagement surface even with a small quantity of supply oil and excelling in heat resistance.
The wet type friction plate has the friction surface formed by annularly fixing friction material to an almost annular core plate. The friction surface is formed with a plurality of grooves penetrating from an inner diameter part to an outer diameter part. At least one of opposite sides of the friction material defining the grooves is formed in an arcuate shape. The groove is large in width at a radially intermediate part as compared with the inner diameter part and the outer diameter part.
