PURPOSE: To miniaturize treatment apparatus and to make the treatment of exhaust gas more efficient by bubbling exhaust gas in absorbing liquor and then by introducing the harmful components-absorbed liquor into an oxidation-crystallization tank in which both oxidation and crystallization zones connect with each other with a liquid phase boundary.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas is introduced into the absorption tank 2 from the line 1 in such a way that it bubbles within the liquor, the treated gas is dischrged 3, and then the absorbing liquor is introduced into the oxidation zone present up the oxidation-crystallization tank 6, where SO-23 is oxidized to SO-24, catalyst is also oxidized for reactivation, and at the same time harmful substances are neutralized and fixed by the addition 8 of calcium carbonate, etc... The crystals formed grow into large crystals in a crystallization zone present down the tank 6, and the slurry containing the crystals is subjected to concentration and separation processes to obtain the concentrated crystals 11. The separated liquor is recyled to the absorption tank 2 through the line 12. Thus, the floor space for the treatment apparatus can be greatly cut down and harmful substances present in exhaust gas can also be removed with high efficiency
