The wet vibrating screening apparatus comprises vibrating a screen mechanism 33 with a screening surface 34 formed, and classifying the charged object to be classified P while conveying it. A dam 1 installed on the upstream side of an unsorted conveying surface 3 free of sorting holes, formed in the screen mechanism 33, reserves the object to be classified P, cracking water is supplied to the reserving part to carry out a cracking treatment of the object to be classified, and thereafter, a first classification treatment is carried out. At the same time, separating function water having a velocity component from the downstream side in a conveying direction of the object to be classified P to the upstream side is supplied to the unsorted conveying surface 3, and after the separation treatment of the object to be classified P, a second classification treatment is carried out.
