Abstract:

To provide a wet wiper which is suitable for wiping off the mirror plane of an optical disk and the surface of a liquid crystal display or a plasma display.

In this wet wiper, a strand aggregate is impregnated with a liquid chemical. The strand aggregate includes a synthetic fiber containing polyalkylene glycol. Especially, as the strand aggregate, a nonwoven fabric including split-fibrillated superfine fibers is desirable. As polyalkylene glycol, polyethylene glycol is preferable and as the synthetic fiber, a polyester fiber is preferable. The liquid chemical includes alcohol with a boiling point of less than 100°C. As the alcohol, isopropanol and/or ethanol are desirable. The alcoholic concentration of the liquid chemical is 70 mass% or more and less than 95 mass %. The impregnation amount of the liquid medicine is 60 to 120 mass% in relation to the mass of the strand aggregate.
