PURPOSE: To make it possible to effectively wipe away the dust and dirt intruding into fine points and narrow point by forming the wettable wiping material for cleaning by removing the dirt of nonwoven fabric contg. fibers having a specific average fiber diameter at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The wettable wiping material to be used for the various parts of the human body or various kinds of apparatus, furniture, etc., is formed of the nonwoven fabric contg. ≥10wt.% fibers having ≤10μm average fiber diameter. An aq. soln. contg. ≥10wt.% at least one kind selected from antimildew agents and antimicrobial agents is incorporated at 0.1 to 10wt.% per 1wt.% nonwoven fabric into the nonwoven fabric. While the material of the fibers is not limited, fibers of polyolefin and PET are used in terms of their excellent oil resistance, chemical resistance and lipophilicity. A reinforcing material is laminated on one surface of the nonwoven fabric at need in order to enhance tensile strength and tear strength.
