Abstract:
The wetting mechanism includes a sensor for detecting the amount of wetting agent applied. The sensor regulates the amount supplied to the printing mould (1) by comparing the amount supplied with a predeterminable amount. Several sensors (2) are preferably spread out over the width of the printing mould. A spray damping mechanism with at least one wetting driver roller and wetting applicator roller control the spray frequency and/or speed of the rollers.
