Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce black spoilage when printing is started after temporary stoppage even if printing operation is accumulated significantly before temporary stoppage.
SOLUTION: A spray type wetting water supply device 1 comprises means 300 for outputting an operating signal in response to the rotary operation at a rotary section pertaining to the operation of a printer, means 320 for counting the output signal from the operating signal output means and delivering a signal for every specified count, a nozzle operation control means 100 previously set with several control modes for differentiating the quantity of wetting water being supplied after starting the print operation before a specified operation is started, and means 340 for specifying the control mode of the nozzle operation control means 100 selectively based on an output signal from the counting means 320 and depending on an accumulated count every time when the operation of printer is stopped temporarily and started. When printing is started after temporary stoppage, wetting water is supplied more than the quantity required for normal printing during a specified interval after starting the print operation.
