Abstract:

To provide a wheel alignment adjusting method capable of finally fixing a steering wheel to a steering shaft at a proper position when manufacturing a vehicle, and efficiently executing the toe adjustment of front wheels and rear wheels.

While a steering wheel 11 is temporarily fixed, the toes of front wheels 13 and rear wheels 14 are measured. When the toe of the rear wheels is out of a standard range, it is assumed that the toe of the rear wheels is a predetermined value within the standard range, and the steering wheel is rotated based on the predetermined value and the toe of the front wheels. Thus the orientation of the front wheels is adjusted to match with the assumed orientation of the rear wheels, and the steering wheel is positioned at a horizontal portion to be finally fixed to a steering shaft 12 in this state. Then, the toes of the front wheels and the rear wheels are adjusted to be within the standard range.
